Day 1: Agadir – Taliouine – Taznakht – Agdz
Your adventure begins early in the morning as you depart from Agadir toward Taliouine, the famous capital of Moroccan saffron. After an enriching stop to explore local cooperatives and learn about this precious "red gold," you will continue your journey toward Taznakht, a Berber village world-renowned for the artisanal weaving of traditional carpets. A lunch break on-site allows you to savor local gastronomy before taking on the drive through the spectacular, moon-like landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. In the late afternoon, you will reach the peaceful palm grove of Agdz, where you will enjoy dinner and a restful night inside a traditional kasbah steeped in history.
Day 2: Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora – M'hamid – Erg Chegaga
Following breakfast overlooking the palm trees, you will drive along the sublime Draa Valley, a vibrant green ribbon bordered by millions of date palms and fortified mud-brick ksours. Your route then crosses the town of Zagora before reaching M'hamid El Ghizlane, the true gateway to the desert, for a warm and friendly lunch break. This is where the adventure reaches a whole new level as you board a 4x4 vehicle to tackle the wild desert tracks through sand dunes and rocky plains. At the end of the day, you will ride a camel to admire the unforgettable sunset from the giant crests of Erg Chegaga, before sharing a nomad dinner and sleeping under the stars in a comfortable desert camp.
Day 3: Erg Chegaga – Iriqui Lake – Foum Zguid – Anti-Atlas – Agadir
An early wake-up call rewards you with the breathtaking spectacle of the sunrise over the golden sand dunes. Your 4x4 driver will then set off for a memorable crossing of the dried-up Lake Iriqui, a vast flat expanse made legendary by the old stages of the Paris-Dakar Rally. You will stop for lunch in Foum Zguid, an oasis surrounded by impressive rock formations, before beginning the return journey. The final stretch of the road crosses Taznakht once again and winds through the changing landscapes of the Souss plains, dropping you off at your Agadir hotel in the late afternoon with a head full of memories.
